10E Adult Oncology

The Adult Medical Oncology Unit (10E) is a 27-bed unit (all private rooms) specializing in the care of adult medical hematology and oncology patients who require treatment in an acute-care setting, particularly those receiving chemotherapy, biological modifiers, undergoing radiation therapy, and those requiring symptom management. The unit also provides care to overflow medicine patients with a multitude of diagnoses and patients that meet General Inpatient Hospice (GIP) criteria with CNY Hospice. 10E provides services to accommodate the needs of oncology patients in the Central New York area, including the 17 counties surrounding Syracuse.

10H Bone Marrow Transplant

10H is a 6-bed (private rooms) adult inpatient bone marrow transplant unit Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy unit (BMTU).

The Bone Marrow Transplant Program, the first in central New York, opened in 1992. Its major objective is to provide optimal medical and nursing care for all patients undergoing cytoreduction and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

8th Floor, 8330 Hemapheresis

The apheresis service encompasses a 2-bed unit located in UH, adjacent to the inpatient oncology unit, used for both inpatients and outpatients. Inpatients that are too ill to be transported or cared for in the apheresis unit, are treated at the bedside.
