Residents are required to complete a Quality Improvement project during residency. All residents are encouraged to pursue additional research & scholarly activity projects. 

Residents collaborate with Faculty on research projects in a variety of fields, including: 

• Gyn Oncology 
• Cancer Genetics 
• Family Planning 
• Maternal Fetal Medicine 

Annual opportunities for residents to present their research or QI projects include: 

• OBGYN Department Annual Scientific Forum 
• Upstate’s Beyond the Doctorate Research Day 
• Regional Perinatal Symposium
